Open board positions and their respective duties can be found at the bottom of this page. Complete the form below to nominate an individual for one of the open positions.
Nomination Information:
Nomination submissions will open June 24th and close on July 15th
Nominees must be active COISSA members to be considered
Interested parties may self-nominate
Election Information:
Active COISSA members will receive an invitation to cast their vote once nominations close

Position Descriptions

The Vice President plays a crucial role in supporting the President. In case the President is absent or unable to fulfill their duties for any reason during their term, the Vice President shall take charge of the President's responsibilities. Apart from this, the Vice President is also responsible for identifying and reaching out to potential new members, as well as members whose membership is set to expire within 30 days. They are responsible for welcoming new members, facilitating membership retention, and addressing any questions related to membership eligibility. If needed, the Vice President can contact ISSA International for further advice or action.

The Treasurer is responsible for managing all chapter funds, including membership dues and other valuable assets. They will maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including receipts, expenditures, and deposits, and ensure that all tax filings are completed on time. The Treasurer will provide a financial summary to Officers during their regular meetings and share tax-related information before filing taxes.

The Director of Education will oversee and manage regular chapter training, including the CISSP preparatory class, to ensure its proper execution. Additionally, they will be responsible for identifying eligible members for recognition as Senior Members and Senior Fellows and providing assistance in achieving this recognition. The Director of Education will have the first opportunity to review proposed speakers and presentations.

The role of the Director of Technology at Central Ohio ISSA involves overseeing and managing all technology, applications, assets, and security for the chapter. This position requires collaboration with COISSA board members, chapter members, and third-party vendors to ensure that all technology related to COISSA is secure, functioning correctly, and appropriately managed. The Director should have a technology background, if possible.

The Director of Sponsorship is accountable for identifying and managing sponsorship assistance for various Chapter activities, including regular chapter meetings, ad hoc tech sessions, workshops, and the chapter's primary annual event.
